Stock photography company Shutterstock has launched its new Artificial Intelligence (AI) image generation platform. It will be available to users using Shutterstock around the world in every language the site offers.

In an official statement, Paul Hennessy, CEO of Shutterstock, said, “Shutterstock has developed strategic partnerships over the past two years with leading industry players like OpenAI, Meta, and LG AI Research to fuel their generative AI research efforts, and now we are able to.

Especially we have brought generative AI capabilities responsibly for our customers.” The company further added that its AI image generator will enable each user to create high-quality images by simply telling them what they are looking for – images will be ready in a second without any worries.

“Our easy-to-use generative platform will change the way people tell their stories. You no longer need to be a design expert or have access to a creative team to produce stunning images,” Hennessy continued.

Last October, Shutterstock expanded its partnership with OpenAI, launched a fund to compensate artists for their contributions, and focused its research and development machine on collecting and publishing insights around AI-generated content.

The purpose of this partnership was to introduce the image creation capabilities of OpenAI to Shutterstock users around the world. This allows images to be created on the fly based on criteria specified by users.

How AI Image Generator works -:

Here we are going to tell you how Shutterstock’s AI Image Generator works… First of all, you have to go to the home page of Shutterstock’s website. Type ‘AI Generator’ in the search bar. The search bar will be automatically set to “Image” on the left side.

Click on “Image” and you will see a drop-down menu of options including “AI Generator”. Select the AI Generator option. Now type whatever you want to search. At this next stage, you will have to log in, but you can create an account without paying any money.

Click on search, and you will see four images created according to your request. At the bottom of the page, you have the option to click on “More AI-generated images from the Shutterstock library” if you want to see some more AI-generated images.

This can be a fun tool to play with, but keep in mind that even though Shutterstock promises that their tools are “built on an ethical approach and on a library of assets that represent the diverse world we live in,”

and that “artists whose work has contributed to the development of these models are recognized and rewarded,” using artificial intelligence (AI) to discover art is still controversial.
